Thank you for your interest in joining our PoleLaTeaz Instructor Training & Apprenticeship program! Teaching this unique movement to women is an incredible job and very rewarding.

PoleLaTeaz’s Apprenticeship program provides a framework for teachers to strengthen their teaching voice, clarify their cueing, gain practical experience in class assisting & teaching students, and receive feedback from an experienced mentor.

Please read over our guidelines below to get all the information on how to join our team

prerequisites

*Must have at least one year aerial experience on at least ONE apparatus (pole, aerial hoop, or aerial sling)

*Must complete our Teaz Du Soleil Pole & Aerial Foundations Training (offered 1-2 times a year)

*Must live within 60 minutes of studio; our Apprenticeship requires shadowing hours so you need to be able to get to studio at least twice a week

*Must be a member of PoleLaTeaz studio at least for 6 months. Upon submitting an application to our program, preference will be given to students who have completed ONE of the following: Level 1-5 pole dance program, Beginner 1- Advanced lyra program OR Silks Beginner 1-Advanced series program at our studio

We take hiring instructors very seriously and as a potential applicant, you should take the decision seriously as well. We believe in being fully transparent and upfront about the amount of time and commitment required for our training program and subsequent instructor expectations.

we only hire employees

Everyone one who works for PoleLaTeaz LLC is an employee and we do not hire independent contractors. This is an IRS requirement due to the way our business is structured. We are also a BRAND so certain standards need to be upheld to have a cohesive experience for all of our clients.

EXCLUSIVITY CLAUSE

All instructors exclusively work for PoleLaTeaz due to proprietary curriculums and methodologies.

If you are looking to work at multiple studios or start you own private classes our Weekend Immersion Teacher Trainings Programs would be an awesome fit for you. We have a network of independent instructors around the country who take our trainings to add more credentials to their repertoire and develop their own classes/curriculums. We have a wide variety to pick from and also created a private online community for everyone to network with!

Must be willing to teach at least 2 apparatuses

We require any applicants who are interested in joining our team to teach 2 apparatuses. You will have a primary apparatus and secondary apparatus. (You do get to choose which ones you would like to do) The primary apparatus you will teach the most while the secondary apparatus you will only be required to teach intro classes, beginner classes, and parties. After completing your Pole & Aerial Foundations course (and along with the Apprenticeship) you will feel completely prepared and ready!

commitment

Our apprenticeship program is approximately 8 months and we place a heavy focus on real-world teaching experience. You will also complete various assignments including independent study, small homework assignments, zoom sessions, shadowing with senior instructors, mock classes, and attending immersive group training sessions with your “teaz”cohort. Most of our group trainings does take place on the the weekends and shadowing hours are done various times throughout the week based on your schedule.

If you are offered a position after completing the apprenticeship program you will be required to teach at least once a week, preferably 2 classes back to back.

Acceptance into the PoleLaTeaz Apprenticeship Program is not an offer of employment at PoleLaTeaz. This will be a period of evaluation to ensure that being an instructor of the studio is a good fit. This is additional training that we are providing to you at no cost.
