APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION

Our apprenticeship program is approximately 6 months and we place a heavy focus on real-world teaching experience. You will also complete various assignments including independent study, small homework assignments, zoom sessions, shadowing with senior instructors, mock classes, and attending immersive group training sessions with your “teaz”cohort. Most of our group trainings does take place on the weekends and shadowing hours are done various times throughout the week based on your schedule.

If you are offered a position after completing the apprenticeship program you will be required to teach at least once a week, preferably 2 classes back to back.

Acceptance into the PoleLaTeaz Apprenticeship Program is not an offer of employment at PoleLaTeaz. This will be a period of evaluation to ensure that being an instructor of the studio is a good fit. This is additional training that we are providing to you at no cost.

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS

Program is scheduled to start approximately 2/1/22

*Bi- Weekly (twice a month) Q&A Group meetings with Senior Instructor Via Zoom (approximately 1 hr/ every other week)

*Monthly Group Trainings (1 time a month; some months will have 2. These are typically held on the weekends Sat/Sun)

*Weekly homework, assignments, reflection, and readings (approx. 1-2 hrs/week)

*Weekly class shadowing (approx. 1-2 hr/week)

*Ongoing individual practice outside of group trainings & class shadows (approx. 1-2 hr/week)

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU MISS MORE THAN 2 TRAININGS AND FAIL TO DO ASSIGNMENTS YOU ARE SUBJECT TO BEING REMOVED FROM PROGRAM. PLEASE TRY TO KEEP WEEKENDS OPEN FOR GROUP TRAININGS. THE 1:1 SHADOWING WE WILL PAIR YOU UP WITH A SENIOR INSTRUCTOR AND WE HAVE GOOD FLEXIBILITY FOR THAT.
